Credits:1The course includes a brief history of funeral service together with special emphasis upon the role of Computer Science. Computer literacy is incoporated together with demonstrated competency in the use of internet, email and attachments, faxing, scanning, PowerPoint and Excel. Mortuary Science Clinical (1011MS)
Credits:1This course is designed to familiarize the student with basic first call mortuary operation and to offer the student an opportunity to assist in the preparation of dead human remains. The student is encouraged to use the experience as an arena in which the theory aquired in the classroom can be applied in actual mortuary procedures. Special emphasis is given to the local, state and federal regulations relative to the care of dead human remains. Credit 1 hour

Credits:3A study of the United States legal system including contracts, sales, propery (real and personal), court systems, Uniform Commercial Code, agency partnerships, corporations, trusts, decedent estates, governmental regulation by agencies of the U.S. and state government. Special consideration is given to Legal and Regulatory Law as pertains to funeral service. Credit 3 hours
